Powder Coat Painter

Moderately experienced Powder Coat Painter/Sprayer. First shift with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Additional hours are available as production requires. Reports directly to the Specialty/Paint Line Managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Apply specified powder to products in accordance with standards for proper coverage, thickness, and surface quality.
  • Adjust valves and observe gauges to set pressure and control the flow of powder to the spray gun.
  • Perform color changes required by customer specifications.
  • Ensure the color chip matches the scheduled powder coat.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the booth, spray gun, and surrounding area.
  • Wear all required PPE, including a respirator, Tyvek suit, and face shield.
  • Return powder to storage daily.
  • Inspect parts to ensure quality coverage.
  • Assist in other areas of the plant as needed.
  • Inform the supervisor when supplies are low.
  • Maintain powder storage organization.
Skills and Abilities Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
  • Ability to follow procedures and instructions per ISO requirements.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; bilingual is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform detailed work.
  • Frequently lift 10–25 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work with your hands and remain on your feet throughout the workday.
  • Maintain the work area daily.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
