Larsen Manufacturing is a leader in precision manufacturing, committed to delivering high-quality components and assemblies to our clients. We are looking for an experienced NC Turret Punch Press Setup Operator to join our dynamic team. This role reports directly to the Fabrication Production Manager.
As an NC Turret Punch Press Setup Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating the NC Turret Punch Press machine, ensuring efficient and accurate production of parts. You will support various departments in forming jobs and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up NC Turret Punch Press machines, ensuring all setups are ready to run efficiently.
- Handle various materials and identify different material types.
- Perform the required quality checks before submitting the first piece to QA for approval, using various measurement devices.
- Read and understand part drawings, job travelers, and prints.
- Support multiple company departments and divisions in forming jobs.
- Meet or exceed labor production rates; communicate labor rate inaccuracies to supervisors or engineers.
- Sharpen tools and use CAD systems to pull dimensions from drawings when necessary.
- Suggest improvements for Turret programs and troubleshoot any issues.
- Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing/plant environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Amada Turret or similar Turret equipment.
- Ability to follow procedures and instructions per ISO requirements.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; bilingual is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
