In the spirit of holiday season, our team members brought joy to the children of El Paso through the gift of giving.
On Dec. 10th, Larsen Manufacturing, along with other organizations, were sponsors in the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Annual Toy Drive. Our employees contributed by donating unwrapped gifts for the boys and girls of El Paso County.
Deputy Ochoa of El Paso applauded companies like Larsen who participated, saying the best reward was watching the faces of the children transform once they get their presents.
“There are a lot of struggling families out there, and it feels good to be able to help out so that every child has a gift to unwrap at Christmas,” said Stamping ELP BU Director Jeff Olsen.
Several of our employees were present at the event. BU Director Jeff Olsen and HR Coordinator Jerry Sanchez spearheaded donation efforts and delivered the toys to the event. The amount of donations was enough to fill the trunk of two cars, making it a huge success overall.
The annual toy drive is supported by the local car clubs in the area that featured several events such as classic cars on display, a DJ, jumping balloon for children, and a picture with Santa station for group photos.
Larsen Manufacturing always strives to play a vital role in the surrounding communities and establish ourselves as key members people can depend on.
“20.1 percent of the population in El Paso County live at the poverty level. With increased cost and inflation at all-time highs, it feels good knowing that our employees will make a difference in the lives of the children this Christmas,” said Jerry.
