The Stamping Estimator is a critical role at Larsen Manufacturing, responsible for creating detailed proposals, price quotes, and related documentation that align with customer requirements. This position also plays a key role in supporting the Sales team by providing accurate pricing for stamped parts and assemblies across various industries, including automotive, electronics, aerospace, and more. The Stamping Estimator ensures both customer satisfaction and the company’s financial success by delivering precise and reliable cost estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development: Prepare comprehensive proposals and price quotes that meet customer specifications and requirements.
- Sales Team Support: Collaborate closely with the Sales team to provide essential estimating support and insights.
- Cost Estimation: Focus on delivering accurate price quotes for stamped parts and assemblies, contributing to customer satisfaction and the company’s profitability.
- Reporting: Report directly to the Stamping Business Unit Director, providing regular updates and insights.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience in manufacturing is required.
- Education: A college degree is preferred, with a focus on Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of the metal stamping industry and familiarity with various raw materials, manufacturing methods, and processes.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of stamping tools, stage tooling, and fixtures is essential. Progressive stamping expertise is highly valued.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PRO-E, and Catia software is preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Strong estimating comprehension and analytical abilities are necessary for success in this role.
