Shop Floor CNC working Foreman

We pride ourselves on our innovative approach, state-of-the-art technology, and commitment to excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machine Shop Supervisor to join our dynamic team.

As a CNC Machine Shop Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our CNC machine shop. Your expertise in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines will be essential in ensuring the efficient and precise production of parts. You will work under the direction of the Business Unit Director, providing clear explanations for any issues and ensuring the team meets production goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of CNC machinists and operators.
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills.
  • Ensure production schedules are met with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to CNC machining processes.
  • Provide clear and concise explanations for production issues to management.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures in the machine shop.
  • Continuously improve processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5+ years of proven experience in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines (lathes and mills).
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in a machining environment with a strong background in CNC operations.
  • Familiarity with calipers, logic controllers, press brake machines, milling machines, turning machines, and CNC equipment.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD software, and CNC programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under the direction of the Business Unit Director and provide clear explanations for issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices in a machine shop setting.
