Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Quality Technician Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of our products through meticulous inspection and adherence to industry standards. This position requires a strong understanding of machining processes, quality assurance protocols, and the ability to utilize various measurement tools effectively.
Duties
- Conduct dimensional inspections of machined components using tools such as bore gauges and calipers to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Utilize PC-DMIS software for data collection and analysis of inspection results.
- Interpret and apply relevant codes and standards, including AS9100, to maintain quality assurance throughout the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify areas for improvement in fabrication processes.
- Document inspection findings and maintain accurate records of quality metrics.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures to enhance product reliability.
- Provide feedback on tooling performance and suggest improvements based on inspection results.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in machining processes and fabrication techniques.
- Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Experience with dimensional inspection methods and quality assurance practices.
- Familiarity with PC-DMIS software is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards, particularly AS9100, is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
