The Production Manager will be responsible for directing the Production Operations of the Fabrication Business Unit while being directly accountable to the Fabrication Business Unit Director. They will also assist with the profit and loss (P/L) responsibilities and manage the Business Unit assets and resources to maximize performance.
Develop world-class manufacturing operations working closely with Vthe P of Operations through the use of automation, QMS systems documentation, demand flow technologies, and a team of empowered employees to continuously meet customer expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Can include, at a minimum, the following: other duties may be assigned by the Executive Committee.
- Oversee and direct the day-to-day operations.
- Supports Floor Supervisors (ie, Laser, Turret, Assembly, Welding, and Grinding).
- Assist the Business Unit Director with quoting fabrication projects in the form of run rate confirmation and necessary people resources.
- Assist the Business Unit Director with the NPI meeting.
- Establishes and maintains premier customer service. Leads by example.
- Review all completed projects and discuss closeout results with the BU Director and Planner.
- Research and Development for necessary projects.
- Assist in maintaining the growth of the Business Unit consistently and annually.
- Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development through effective performance management.
- Join in making company strategy plans and bonus plans.
- Cooperate with other departments to fulfill assigned tasks.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Business Unit knowledge of management and marketing principles, industry practices, company and competitor products, technology, service capabilities, and purchasing.
- Knowledge of Business Unit offering and operational processes; customer proposal development, contract negotiations, program management, and efficient with the MRP operating system.
- People skills and management capabilities to work with all Business Units teams in unity.
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others.
- Demonstrating ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem-solving/resolution skills.
Required Knowledge
- Knowledge of Business Units products/services from selling/markets, quoting, program management, and manufacturing.

- Technical knowledge of metal fabrication and machining.
- Technical knowledge of R&D/Engineering of Business Unit products and services.
