At Larsen, we believe that the strongest teams are built on a foundation of trust, shared values, and a genuine sense of belonging. For us, that foundation is family. It’s more than just a tagline; it’s a legacy that started with our founder, Lenny, who brought his own children—Dave, Denis, and Mike—into the business. That tradition continues to thrive today, weaving a rich tapestry of family connections throughout our company.
This past summer, that legacy was particularly visible in our operations. Jeff Olsen, one of our Business Unit Directors in El Paso, had all three of his sons working alongside him before two of them headed back to college. His oldest son, Albert, works in the Maintenance Department full time. This isn’t a new phenomenon at Larsen; it’s just one example of the many family ties that strengthen our team.

We see it everywhere you look. At our Mundelein facility, for instance, you’ll find the children of Dave, Denis, and Mike Larsen who have all contributed their time and talent to the business. Dale Gustum, Bob Kalicki, Matt Cassidy, and Alex Murguia are also among some of the employees who had or still have family members work with them, creating a truly collaborative and supportive environment.
This deep-rooted family culture is what sets Larsen apart. It creates a workplace where people feel supported, valued, and connected to something bigger than themselves. When you work at Larsen, you’re not just an employee—you’re part of a family, and that makes all the difference.
