Job Title: Material Handler

Summary: Seeking an individual with experience working in a manufacturing plant and/or experience operating a forklift or working in a warehouse position. Experienced Material Handler/Certified Forklift Driver with the ability to assist in the Shipping/Stamping areas moving materials, completed products and dies. Ability to work with co-workers and prioritize/manage workloads for different departments. We have availability on 1st and 2nd Shifts with a minimum of 40-50 hours per week.
While performing the duties of this job, the Material Handler must be able to stand for long periods of time, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms, use fingers, handle or feel. Hearing and vision within normal ranges are essential for normal conversations, receiving ordinary or vital information and preparing and inspecting documents. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate-loud.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Familiar with the Quality Policy and Objectives
- Completion of required paperwork
- Moves raw materials from inventory to machines with paperwork
- Loads material onto equipment as needed
- Assist setup/operator as needed to start material into tools
- Moves stamped goods from press areas to audit areas as needed
- Transports F/G parts to the warehouse for inventory
- Secures materials for proper transportation throughout the factory
- Pulls and disposes of material scrap from production areas
- Ability to pack parts and prepare shipment
- Make and apply labels for shipment
- Pick orders in preparation for shipment
- Following Packaging / Labeling instructions per shop paper or other instructions
- Report press/ die problems to supervisor, reporting of actual or potential product quality issues to QC or Supervisor
- Stopping production when known or suspected nonconforming conditions exist
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs
- Housekeeping in all areas
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Preferred High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience working in a manufacturing plant
- Experience operating a forklift
- Forklift Certified
- Strong oral and written communication skills; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
- Must be able to work as a team member and not as an individual
- Dependable and punctual.
